I Was Making Sourdough Too Hard… and How I Fixed I (S3 E7)

I almost gave up on sourdough bread because I thought it was complicated.

Then I realized something surprising: I was the one making it hard.

A year ago I started a sourdough starter from scratch and watched it bubble to life. By early March it was active, healthy, and ready to bake with. I was one step away from making my first loaf… and then I stopped. What I didn’t realize when I started was that sourdough bread runs on a schedule. A very particular one. And at the time, my life didn’t.

In this video I share the story of how my first sourdough loaf took a full year to happen, what finally helped me get past the hesitation, and why sometimes the hardest part of learning something new is simply beginning. If you’ve ever wanted to try sourdough bread, start a new hobby, or finally do something you’ve been putting off for a long time, I hope this little story of hope and perseverance encourages you.
