The other night I ran out of taco seasoning and condensed soup while making dinner. Normally I would just add them to my grocery list and move on. But this time I decided to look up how to make them myself… and discovered that a lot of the foods we buy at the grocery store are really just simple combinations of ingredients we already have in our kitchens.
- Taco seasoning.
- Brown sugar.
- Condensed cream soups.
- Baking mixes.
Once I realized how easy some of these were to make, it completely changed the way I look at the grocery store and what I keep in my pantry. In this video, I’m sharing three everyday grocery items I stopped buying and started making myself — and what happened when I did.
Along the way I learned that making a few simple pantry staples at home can be: • fresher • customizable • often cheaper • and surprisingly easy
