2tablespoonsdried oregano
1tablespoondried basil
1tablespoondried thyme
1tablespoondried rosemary
1tablespoondried parsley
Instructions
If your rosemary is in long whole needles, crumble it between your fingers or pulse it briefly so it blends in evenly.
Add all of the herbs to a small bowl and whisk or stir until evenly combined.
Spoon into a clean, dry jar, seal, and shake to mix. Label with the name and date.
Store in a cool, dark cupboard and use within about a year for the best flavor.
Notes
This blend is salt-free, so add salt separately when you cook. To make just enough for one recipe, keep the same ratio: 2 parts oregano to 1 part each of basil, thyme, rosemary, and parsley. Use about 1 teaspoon per pound of meat, or to taste. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes if you like a little heat.
